History
Mansfield Screw Machine Products Company
was founded in 1945 by Joseph L. Witchey and two partners in a small garage
in downtown Mansfield, Ohio, to produce parts for two local thermostat
manufacturers. After early success, the Company relocated to a
larger production facility in Mansfield and until 1980 had expanded that
facility several times to meet the growing demand of their customer base.
In 1980, led by the third generation
of the Witchey family (Richard D. Witchey Jr.), Mansfield Screw Machine
became the first resident of the newly formed Lexington Industrial Park
in Lexington, Ohio. The new 36,000 square foot facility tripled
the size of the old plant. Now with a full range of production equipment,
Mansfield Screw Machine Products evolved into a sophisticated, world class
supplier of precision machined components.
Today, under the direction of the fourth generation of the
Witchey family (Richard D. Witchey III), Mansfield Screw Machine Products
has been expanded to 50,000 square feet and houses over 100 pieces of
high-tech production equipment. We service customers in many industries
and have earned a reputation for premier quality, quick-response and individual
